Linn Minoxidil is suitable for the treatment of 'normal' occurring baldness (androgenetic alopecia). This is also known as hereditary hair loss. The 5% version is suitable for men, and the 2% is suitable for both men and women.

Minoxidil is a remedy that combats hair loss and stimulates hair growth. It is easy to apply to the skin with the included applicator. Minoxidil can provide visible hair growth after 4 months when used effectively.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as told by your doctor.

Results

Studies conducted to date show that 4 or more months of treatment with Minoxidil Linn are required for visible hair growth. Interruption of treatment may result in return to the initial state within 3 to 4 months.

When should you not use Minoxidil Linn?

You should not use Minoxidil:

  • If you are under 18 years old or over 65 years old
  • If hair loss occurs suddenly and/or irregularly
  • If hair loss is due to pregnancy or childbirth (this applies only to women) or in cases of unexplained hair loss
  • In cases where hair loss results from certain treatments or from certain diseases as well as severe malnutrition
  • You use treatments for the skin containing corticosteroids or skin-capping
    ointments, creams or other greasy substances (e.g. Vaseline).

    • with a spray head and a colourless cap. An applicator is included separately in the cardboard packaging.

    Always use this treatment exactly as described in the leaflet or as told by your doctor or pharmacist. Are you unsure about the correct use? If so, please contact our customer service or your doctor.

    Minoxidil Linn is intended for external use on the scalp only.

    The recommended dose is 1 ml of Minoxidil Linn twice daily, every 12 hours.

    How do you use it?

    • Remove the cap from the bottle
    • Apply 1 ml of Minoxidil Linn solution, by pressing the atomiser 6 times
    • Apply the solution to the centre of the affected area and spread it with your fingertips to ensure the medicine is evenly distributed
    • For more precise application, use the applicator provided in the pack.
    • Remove the top part of the spray head and insert the applicator
    • Then press the applicator 6 times as described above
    • Wash your hands carefully after each application

    Cleaning the atomiser and applicator

    After each use, remove the upper part of the spray head or applicator and rinse with alcohol to remove product residues and prevent clogging.

    Precautions for use

    Do not use more than 1 ml of the solution, regardless of the size of the affected area, and do not apply more than 2 ml of the solution per day.

    How to store this product?

    • Store below 25°C (77°F). Do not store in the refrigerator or freezer
    • Keep the bottle tightly closed
    • Shelf life after opening: 50 days
    • Keep out of the sight and reach of children

    Minoxidil has been extensively tested among thousands of subjects over the past decades. These studies have shown that Minoxidil for the treatment of hereditary hair loss is perfectly safe up to a strength of 2% in women and 5% in men.

    If you stop, are the results permanent?

    No, to maintain the desired results, you need to continue using the product daily. If you stop using the product, hair loss may eventually return.

    What if I forget to use Minoxidil once?

    It's not a big deal to forget Minoxidil once. In that case, do it anyway, unless it is already almost time for the next application, and think about what you can do to do better the next day. Put the product in sight, so you see it when you need to use it. Try to get a rhythm into it, make it a daily ritual. After a while, just like brushing your teeth or styling your hair, it will start to feel more and more normal and come naturally.

    What side effects does Minoxidil have?

    Minoxidil can have side effects. The most common are itching and other skin irritations in places where you applied the Minoxidil. Minoxidil contains alcohol, so you might experience a burning sensation and/or (skin) irritations. These irritations sometimes occur in sensitive areas such as around the eyes. Does the product accidentally come into contact with the skin? Then rinse it off a copious amount of running tap water. Does the irritation and itching persist for a longer period of time? If so, contact your doctor.

    Are there any alternatives to Minoxidil?

    I see new hairs growing everywhere on my head, so I'm super happy about it. It dries out my scalp a lot, but that is normal with minoxidil. I try to combat this by applying oil to my scalp 2/3 times a week and letting it soak in for 4/5 hours. Then wash well with shampoo
